Margaret Hughes, VP Sales and Marketing, gave a presentation at IBIEducate’s ‘Clean Ingredients Panel’ on our BEST Pea Hull Fiber at this year’s International Bakery Industry Exposition (IBIE). Using novel and specialty ingredients in your food product is a great way to improve the product’s nutritional profile for macronutrients like fiber and protein.
On the expo floor, our company showcased two specialty-milled ingredients, BEST Pea Hull Fiber 125 and BEST Pulse Egg Replacer, in a specially formulated vegan and gluten-free ginger snap cookie. Our BEST Pulse Egg Replacer is naturally high in protein and can provide several functional properties of eggs, powdered eggs and egg whites such as emulsification, binding and foaming properties.
