1/2 cup butter or margarine (125 mL)
2 cups sugar (500 mL)
1/2 cup milk (125 mL)
1 tsp vanilla (5 mL)
6 tbsp cocoa (90 mL)
3 cups Only Oats™ Quick Flakes Oats (750 mL)
Optional:
1/2 cup coconut (125 mL) or
1/2 cup chopped walnuts (125 mL) or
1/2 cup raisins (125 mL)
1. In a saucepan, over medium heat melt butter, sugar and milk. Bring to a boil, stirring often. Boil for 2 to 3 minutes.
2. Remove from heat and add vanilla, cocoa and Only Oats™ Rolled Oats. Mix well. Drop by the spoonful onto waxed paper.
3. Cool completely before serving. Note: Boiling time determines if the cookies are gooey or more solid. Boil less for about 2 minutes for gooey and about 3 minutes for firm. Enjoy!
